Het huismerk Puur&Eerlijk is een paraplu merk voor producten die duurzaam zijn geproduceerd en/of ingekocht. De aanpak is succesvol blijkt na ruim een half jaar. De Albert Heijn omzet in biologische producten w.o. Puur&Eerlijk groeit twee keer zo hard als het marktgemiddelde van ca. 10%. Bij de uitbreiding van het assortiment gaat veel aandacht uit naar producten met soja, palmolie, cacao of katoen want dat zijn van oudsher kritische producten als het gaat om duurzaamheid. De bottomline van duurzaamheid is het BSCI certificaat. Dit staat voor Business Social Compliance Initiative. De organisatie er achter heeft zich in de afgelopen jaren sterk gemaakt om kinderarbeid en uitbuiting te bestrijden als onderdeel van een duurzame supplychain.
